After a few unexpected months of waiting we now have our visas and plane tickets. By the end of the week we should be landing in PNG! Soon after arriving we’ll be off to the bush for a week of language training. Once we get back to our home I’ll update about the trip. We’d appreciate your prayers the rest of the week. If all goes as scheduled the trip will take somewhere around 30 hours.
About two years ago dentist Sheena Li arrived at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital to help start a dental clinic. During that time she has trained several Papua New Guinea women to help in the clinic. The goal is have her start training local dentists, but in the meantime she is looking for an experienced dentist to help run the clinic while she is on Home Assignment starting in June. To read more about the dental clinic and who to contact about volunteering visit Dr. Erin Meier’s blog. And if you know any dentists that might be interested, please share the need with them.
